Wenden AZ is ready to celebrate!

Wenden AZ has recovered from the January floods and is ready for its Annual Wendendale Celebration!

The event is Saturday March 27, 2010 – 10 AM to 8 PM – on the streets of Wenden. The town opens its doors to street games, kids activities, crafters, food, music and more. The street dance starts at 4 PM and continues to 8 PM, and is held on 2nd Street – right in front of the Outback Restaurant.

Wenden, AZ is located approx 45 miles west of Wickenburg on HWY 60. Or take Salome Road north from I-10 to Hwy 60 then go east approx 5 miles.

The local residents are proud of their efforts to recover from the flood – what a great chance to help them celebrate the very heritage that formed and sustained so many of these small western desert towns.

Volunteers Arrive for Wenden Flood Cleanup

An estimated 150 to 200 volunteers from the Surprise and Quartzsite LDS Church arrived in Wenden on Saturday, January 30th to clean up the town.

The much-needed flood cleanup left the local residents stunned at the wonderful job these volunteers did.  ” It looked like an army of ants working in Wenden – they are terrific!”.

Much thanks for a job well done!
